I can still picture the morning it began. It was 2010, and I was standing inside the gates of Longhu Mountain, the place Daoist feng shui comes from. I held a luopan, the brass compass masters have carried for centuries, while incense drifted through the temple halls. My teacher watched me fumble with it and said something I’ve carried ever since:

“Feng shui isn’t about moving a sofa or hanging a mirror. It’s about finding your place between heaven, the earth, and your own life, and learning to move with all three instead of against them.

That was the day I stopped treating feng shui like a decorating trick and started seeing it for what it is: a practical way to shape the energy moving through your home, your work, and your days.

I also saw the problem clearly. Outside China, most people only ever met feng shui as a lucky-cat cliché, or a superstition to smile politely at and ignore. The real tradition was getting lost in translation. So I started Fengshui Power to do one thing well: carry that old knowledge into modern homes without dumbing it down or dressing it up.

Why people come to me

I don’t pull a generic template off the shelf. The methods I reach for are the ones I was actually trained in, Yang Gong feng shui, Bazi (your four pillars of destiny), and Qi Men Dun Jia, alongside a couple of tools that didn’t exist a generation ago, like 3D energy mapping and date selection that takes the guesswork out of timing. The labels matter less than the result. What you should care about is whether the guidance actually changes something for you.

My training runs straight back to Longhu Mountain and the Zhengyi Dao lineage. That matters more than it might sound, because a lot of what gets sold as feng shui today was invented last Tuesday. I received formal Daoist transmission, chuandu, and my practice still includes the talisman work, fu and zhu, that most practitioners have long since dropped.

None of that is for show. It’s the gap between reading about something in a book and having done it ten thousand times. Over the years I’ve sat across from clients on three continents, and the question underneath is always the same. Am I going to be okay? Is this the right move? Why does it all feel stuck?

Feng shui won’t hand you a winning lottery ticket. What it does is clear the static, so the decisions you were already capable of making start to look a little more obvious, and a little less heavy.
